Wildlife photography is one of the most challenging forms of photography, where timing and the knowledge of animals play a crucial role. On this five-day guided tour, you have an opportunity to capture the teeming biodiversity of Sri Lanka on film.

Join us on an expertly planned tour of four wildlife sanctuaries across the country in search of wild elephants, leopards, birds, and numerous endemic flora and fauna. With different locations famous for different wildlife habitats, you are sure to have a special adventure every day of the trip.

You will have the opportunity to photograph the natural wonders of the Sinharaja Rainforest, the leopards in Yala National Park, the elephants in Udawalawe National Park, and birds of all shapes and sizes in Bundala National Park whilst enjoying the luxurious comforts of the best wildlife accommodations.

  • Colombo - Sinharaja
You will be picked up from Colombo, or any other beach destination on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka, and driven to Sinharaja (approx. 3 hours’ drive). On arrival at the Sinharaja, you will check in to the Rainforest Eco Lodge. Late afternoon, your nature guide will take you on a memorable trekking tour through the Sinharaja rainforest, one of the eight UNESCO World Heritage sites in Sri Lanka. With numerous species of endemic flora and fauna, Sinharaja provides a one-of-a-kind photography opportunity to capture the wonders of nature.   • In search of elephants in Udawalawa
After breakfast, you will be driven to Udawalawe (approx. 3 hours’ drive). Embark on a game drive at Udawalawe National Park, one of the best locations to spot Asian elephants. This will be another great photographic opportunity, which is completely different from Sinharaja. On completion of the safari, enjoy your lunch at Grand Udawalawe Hotel and then drive to Yala National Park. Dinner and overnight stay at Leopard Nest Campsite. MEALS Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
  • Yala Adventure
Wake up at dawn to freshly brewed Ceylon tea or coffee. Then leave on morning game drive at 5:30 am with your camera for a thrilling adventure in Yala National Park. The national park is home to numerous elephants and more leopards per area than anywhere else on the planet! Return from the morning game drives at 9-10 am to freshly squeezed juices from seasonal fruits followed by breakfast. After breakfast, you can relax and unwind by taking a nap in the hammock or checking books about wildlife in the library. After lunch at the campsite, you will be taken to Bundala National Park, an excellent site for birdwatching and photography. Dinner and overnight stay at Leopard Nest Campsite.   • The Life of a local in Yala
Wake up early morning and start a trekking tour with our naturalist to Nimalawa Lake. Return to the campsite in time for breakfast. After breakfast, you can explore a nearby village and get a better understanding of the village life in the surrounding area. Arrive at the campsite for lunch. In the afternoon, you will start your game drive at Yala National Park to have another chance of photographing leopards. Dinner and overnight stay at Leopard Nest Campsite.   • Yala - Colombo
Today, your remarkable wildlife photography trip to Sri Lanka comes to an end. After breakfast, you will be driven back to Colombo or your beach hotel situated on the southwest coast. MEALS Breakfast

    It is a great place to shop not too far from New York. We took the bus from Port Authority and traveled through the countryside to get there.
